Delta Sigma Phi

Today I got phone call from Scott Roebuck (Frobuck). A friend from college and a Fraternity brother. My pledge brother. He now resides in Arizona and he was coming down here and he wanted to know where I would be. As I was talking with him, many memories came rushing back.

Oh yes.... My college days and my days in the Fraternity.....
Yeah the author of you favorite Blog site, Da Fevah was a frat guy for the first two years of his glorious 4.5 years at CSUF. Nothing quite like endless cheap beer (Keystone) and endless stupidity to pass your time in college.... Yeah those were da days. College days.... It seems like an eternity ago now. But this was many, many moons ago. Before your favorite Blogger came to understand the saving grace of our Lord JC!

I remember rush week and I got a bid from all these Fraternities. Yup this was right out of high school and I was gung ho about everything except God. My whole philosophy in college was to have the best time I possibly can cause you never get them back! CARPE DIEM!

We got kicked off campus eventually for having raging parties and being irresponsible.... We had our last party.... We went out with a blast! We went out like ROCK STARS! No one realizing how empty our lives were to be after the frat. No more were we the members of the Greek society.... We were just bunch of guys who got assed out. Unlike all the great frat movies such as Animal House, Revenge of the Nerds, and Old School, our charter was revoked and we became the Greek rejects.....

Gone were the days of Toga parties and wild Sorority chicks....

Well looking back now what did I get from the fraternity? Bigger gut, higher tolerance for alchohol and many things that I don't quite remember. Let that be a lesson to all of you youngsters. Don't do anything that you will look back say "I got nothing positive out of it". Though I got some friends and many stories, It's not worth gaining a bigger gut over it. I could have been friends with these fools without being in a frat.

But then again I thought I was gonna be a different man than I turned out to be so I guess I just didn't know the difference....

College was a hazy shade of nothing..... If you think about it, what does college really teach you anyway? They fill you up with wild idealistic working world and when you graduate, you are out to fend for yourself.... College was one BIG party.... And I certainly was invited. Sometimes hosted it. What sinner I am....
