Flying Aimlessly....

So weekend is finally around the corner again. PRAISE GOD!

I am going to the Dodger game tonight. After I am dropping off Lisa at her retreat and going to meet Al. My be meet up with Paul. I had lunch with Paul Yesterday.

So what are my plans this weekend? Iono... (I hate that answer)

I was coming into work this morning and one of those huge black beetles buzzed by me. Of course I was a startled a little bit. I thought to myself "Wow, God really must have a sense of humor".

The reason I say that is because they have this huge bodies.... And tiny little wings. They are all over the place when they fly around and they look like they are having a hard time.... I just started laughing a little bit. I thought to myslef "That is me". Flying aimlessly buzzing by people's year and startling them....

But all things come to an end.... So must my aimless flight. I am sick of flying through the air without a destination.... I am in a transformation phase of my life. So I will be a graceful bird. Flying towards my goals. More importantly, flying toward God.

Man I am glad it's the weekend. I must be losing it.

Ok I was just at Dave Lim's xanga site and saw one of his entries from couple of days ago....

He posted this pic of old school CPC peeps... That was a long time ago.... Yeah I am the fatass in the right lower corner.... That was like 80-90 pounds ago. cause that was during my FAT FAT days. before my fattter days of 4 months before, I had FATTER FATTER days.

Here is what is trippy about that picture.... All the niggas and niggettes that are in that picture are no longer at CPC. I am the only one still there. I thought for sure most of them were gonna be lifers. I thought surely I would have been one of the first to have left CPC. I am sure they all found their reasons to leave. But what is the motivation of a person who goes from church to church? I am not saying that all those in the pic did not have a good reason. Cause I am sure to most, they had a good reason. So what would be it? WHo knows? May be I will find a reason one day. But how is it that all of them left and not me?

Radio.... And Music....
I've been listening to jazz and classical these days on my commute home from work. In the morning I try to listen to NPR or Kevin and Bean. But the way home is my time. I am starting to appreciate my time to listen to some music. I busted out some old CD's I have not listen to in a while. So this week I am listening to some John Coltrane's A Love Supreme and Miles Davis's Kind of Blue. by far two of the greatest Jazz albums of all time.

A Love Supreme.

This unbelivable album is seriously a must have for those who appreciate Jazz. I truly feel that one must play an instrument to understand Jazz. Since I don't, I don't claim to undersatnd, I just appreciate. I was reading about this album the other day at Barnes and Nobles. John Coltrane dedicated this album "A Love Supreme" to God. His offering to God. And let me tell you. It is amazing. Listening to it in a new light of it being a offering to God made me apreciate it more.

Kind of Blue.

This album revolutionized my way of listening to Jazz all together. Just an unbelivable album. I love this album..

The reason I can't listen to too much Jazz is, simply due to the fact that I just can't understand it. Some Jazz music is so abstract. I just don't have the patience for it. But Kind of blue and A love Supreme is something that really hits me deep down.

I also busted out my Bach's Goldberg Variations by Glenn Gould.

This is a 3 disc set that I got last year that has 2 recordings of Gould's playing of Bach's Goldberg Variations. It is amazing. the first recording is the real famous one. It is just breath taking.

And my favorite violinist Michael Rabin. I was listening to Paganini's 24 caprices.

Joshua bell cannot hold Rabin's jock strap! One of the violinist that truly is perfect. A true prodigy. Too bad he died so early. Or else he might be even bigger of a name than Jascha Heifetz....

Next week, I am gonna listen to Rap. Week after that I am gonna listen to Opera. My favoriet La Traviata! Compsed by Zubin Mehta and with my favoriet tenor Placido Domingo and my favorite Baritone Sherille Milnes. It is good to change from week to week. But if some of you are intersted in listening to some of these CD's, ask me nicely and I just might burn it for you.

The Lone Ranger

I am the only Sales person left..... So Axy got the AX! Because of her lack of willingness to learn the new product, my counterpart got fired..... So I am here. All by myself in the sales force..... The Lone Ranger of Sales in AHT. I have to become an expert on the new product and I will be travelling alot! So hmmmmm...... I wonder how this is gonna all turn out. So I guess they will really be in trouble if I leave now.... I know that I have much on my plate... But I am not looking forward to all the travelling I might be doing this year.... I think I will be all over the place this year.... Sucks... Oh well. So by the time of June, I will be one busy cat. I hope that it will turn out for the best. I am certain that this could be my opportunity to really help out my company and my boss... God is always good.. I hope He can lead me to do my job well....

I just signed up for Gmail! What is Gmail? It is a new email service that provides 1GIG of space from google.... Muhahahaa. I was offered by my cousin for Gmail cause she works for Google. But I signed on cause Blogsite is owned by google and they had special offer for us bloggers.... Another reason why Blogger rocks vs. that other site, xanga. So I signed on! hahahaaha! 1 Gig of info! hahahaha! I just realized that I have a gang of email acounts.... work email, cpcmail acount, yahoo, and now Gmail.. It is only for the real "G"s.

Cause y'all know that I am a gangster! Hahaha. (like my thug gangstah look?)

Ahhhh wednesdays...... Middle of the week. sucks. But i figure 2 more days and it is Friday! I am gonna go watch the Dodger game with Lisa, Sophia, and Steve.

So how about them Dodgers.
I know that they lost yesterday and still the best record in baseball! Will we ever get to the day when we win the World Series again?

I am not stupid... And I know it's onlt April.... But Da Dodgers! I remember Kirk Gibson home run in 88, like it was yesterday.... They greatest momment in Baseball hands down.
I am going to the rivalry! LA vs. sf. The san francisco midgets and Da Mighty Dodgers. Barry Bonds.... Bring it on! You and your roids can kiss me where the sun don't shine!

Underground clothing label....

So I went to a sample sale for my buddy on Sat. He has an clothing company called CON.

No this is not just a Che Guevara shirt.... If you look close, you can see that it is actually Jimi Hendrix... Well I went to this sample sale and it was pretty cool.... I was really diggin it. Pretty cool clothes for cheap... I got hooked up by Eddie. I am not sure if some of you saw me on Sunday but I was wearing a CON shirt. It was the HOMIE east LA shirt that I was wearing. It is actually making fun of a brand called Hermes. Hoon said the shirt was so feminine. Mike said it was Metro. Have I become a metro? Nah. Not da Fevah! I also bought some shirts for Lisa. But my favorite thing I bought for Lisa was a sweatshirt that says "I am in Heaven with my Boyfriend". hahahaha! I saw it and I had to get it for her... hahahaha.

Y'all know that Beaux is a talented T-shirt guy.

I can't wait to see what Beaux has up his sleeves... I am sure it's gonna be da bomb. I saw him yesterday. Beaux is rad.

I went through many stages in my life....
Through high school, I really did not care what I wore... It is true... Not even in the beginning part of college..... Than I started hanging out with Koreans..... Everyone clowned me for dressing funny. And one day I sold out and started to wear name brands. It started with preppie stuff. Polo, Hilfiger, and such. Then one day I became an brand guy. I started to buy expensive clothes like Hugo Boss and Armani and such. How did I afford it? Don't ask! Then in the end of college I started not caring too much again. I went for that casual look again. Despite what y'all think, I do put some thought into what I wear.... May be I am a metro-sexual...... Now I wear free t-shirts my friends give me... I am a bum... Birthday clothes and ROSS shirts.... I went from Hugo Boss to Hugo Ross.....

Love can conquer all! Even airport securities.

It was a action packed weekend for me.....
It started off slow on Friday night. Watched a movie at my pad with couple of peeps.

Saturday was somethin' else.....
So Lisa missed her flight to Oakland in the morning..... She felt terrible.. She was going up for her friend Sophia's graduation and she missed the whole thing.... She was feeling awful.... She called her sister.
Here is her conversation with her sister

Lisa - Unni, I feel so bad.... I can't believe I missed Soph's graduation......I am such a bad friend.
Her Sis - No Leece. You are a bad person!

Her sister was so mad at her. Initially when I heard this, I could not stop laughing.... But Lisa did feel awful...... Though I felt her frustrations and her anger at herself, we both laughed at what her sister said....


The Long Beach Airport is my favorite.... I love that airport. It is hardly ever busy. I dropped off Lisa for her next flight. And as I was leaving I told her, "Call me as soon as you get there." As I was leaving the airport, I saw her cell phone.... In my Car.... SO I turned around and I parked in the loading and unloading zone. Running around in the tiny airport, Yelling "LISA~~~" Than I ran to check point and there was a woman standing there. Asking for picture ID and a boarding pass. I told her that I had to give a passenger her cell phone or else no one would pick her up.... She saw how desperate and yet intense my eyes were and said, "What is the Passenger's name?" I told her in my short breath "Lisa..... (gasp) Park!" She said "go on through...." (You know that I got skilz if I can get through Airport security! Hahaha.) I went through and there she was. I gave her the phone and ran back out. I did not even realize that my car was still running in the loading and unloading zone. As soon as she left and I was driving back, I had a smile on my face. I was kinda proud of myself. I felt like a knight in shining armor. Battling the evil airport securities! Finding my damsel in distress..... I know..... What a dork right?

Lisa comes back tonight. I wonder what airport adventure I will have tonight! hahaha.

BTW anyone see Kill Bill 2? How great was that?
