Its finally here again...  Da Weekend...  Still sick but not as sick... Geeze what a bummer...
Going to SB again tomorrow.  Yeah it should be fun.  Mom and Lisa going on a trip together...  It should be interesting.  It was Lisa's idea.  Lisa got major brownie points cause my mom loves going to places and trying out new places and things todo.  Unlike my pops, who is stuck in 14th Century Korea.    Even food.  My mom loves trying new food where as my dad pretty much sticks to Korean food.

I wonder how they stayed married together all these years.  They are so different.  Their out-look in life, their style, their demeanor...  Only thing they have in common is their temper.  But how they carry themselves in public...  Everything is so different.  It amazes me the kind of endurance that many Korean parents and their generation have.  For instance my parents....  They are not fans of each other and they will tell that to each other's face.   But they are still together....

It really goes to say that we can learn something from people of that generation...  We nowadays have no patience and no capabilities of understanding...  I am not saying that people should be married when they are abused.  But Koreans are changing all over.  In Korea, the divorce rate has gone up so tremendously that it is a social chaos..  In America, its almost the norm to have divorced parents.   For my parents, it was not their fath in God that has kept them together these years.  Cause my dad is not a Christian.  But I think its just sheer will power of Koreans of that generation.  The kind of sheer will that made Korean corporations what it is today...  Julian was telling me the other day about the Computer chips of LG and Samsung....   Aparently these companies were not into computer parts up on till about 15 years ago.. and one day one of the CEOs visited Japan and came back.  He said lets start on computer chips...  With no experience, Korean companies started making computer chips...  Now they are the leading chip makers of the world...  I am telling you, that is nothing but mooshik han slave labour...  But it worked.  I wonder if I have that desire....  That endurance...  Not that it's so great.  But at the least, it is extremely respectable.

Phantom of Beauty

Who dares mess with Da Masked Fevah!

You are probably thinking; What on earth is Da Fevah wearing on his face? Well I've been having some rash like symptoms on my face and my mother put this thing on my face while I was sleeping.

I woke up to get some water and I scared myself and I had to take a picture. Ahh the price of being beautiful.... hahaha! I couldn't believe it! a tissue paper that was cut out for a face! How funny is that! I felt like a WWE (formerly know as WWF) wrestler.
Da Masked Fevah!

I would probably look like this!

My rash is slowly going away and I feel good...

Anyone remember Tiger Mask?

I want to see that movie Banchik Wang (foul king) again.

Praise da Lord!

I picked my mother from da airport. My mom was very pleased at my weight loss. But she said "you look older all of a sudden...." Aparently she thinks that my weight loss in the facial area made me look old... She said she can see wrinkles... Hmmmm. Well so here are couple of HUGE events that I heard about my family memebers in Korea. One of my uncles wrote a book and it is going well... Good for him.
But here is the greatest news! Remeber my ganster grandpa that I thought was dying? My grandfather is not only doing better, but he got baptized! Yeah I've been praying for him and I guess my youngest aunt got to him when no one was around and he agreed to be baptized. Yes God answers prayers! His new baptized name is Bedro (Peter) Cho! Hahahaha! I was all smiles yesterday. My mom tells me that after prayer my grandfather, for the first time said "AMEN". There is no prayer that go unanswered. And some get answered faster than you can imagine. Now my dad and grandma in Korea......

So... I am sure many of you are curious how the first meeting of my mother and Lisa went.... Some of you girls were right. It was awful. Lisa was in tears and my mother was just mean.... I never expected it.

Hahahaha! Just kidding. It went great! They were telling jokes and making fun of me together! We were all telling funny stories and laughing. My mother was telling funny stories about me when I was younger and Lisa was enjoying it. So the first meeting went well. As I expected.

So here is a kiss to all who were hating da Korean Man

I love all of you! (how can you hate this Korean man?)

I have so many things to be thankful for.... Praise God!

It was a nice relaxing weekend. Now I am back at paradise. But i have to leave early today because my mother is coming. I am going to the lovely LAX... yes I am. I hate almost all airports. We have a doozy of a one here in LA.

Continuing from last post...

So far all the talks about my mother coming and what not has been very, very biased. Amy on friday said, "You don't have any brothers and sisters? You are the only child? Lisa... that's bad."

Lisa came to CPC on Sunday and after church, Hoon, Charlene, Sally, and Joanne met at Da Bucks. They all said that Lisa was in trouble. Of course Hoon said "Jung's mom is cool!" Thanks Hoon!

So here it is... All the advice from people (who happened to be females) that has never met my mother has been a cautious yet very judgemental and biased ones.

Hoon was the only person who knows my mother that told Lisa that she will do fine....

But girls will be girls.... Making all the Korean mothers in laws to the wicked witch of the north!

Here is a shot from wiz of Oz. Like evil mother-in-law(witch) scaring poor helpless, defenseless Korean girls(Dorothy).

All I can say is that my mother ain't no wicked witch, most Korean girls ain't no Dorothy and Da Fevah certainly ain't in Kansas anymore! So Leece! Have faith. Cause I know you are gonna do just fine!
