Where is Da Beef you ax?

Here is Da Beef. I am about to see the big sexy. The Beefcake that we all know and love, Jongmini is waiting for me in illadelph, PA! I can't wait to see him. He is Da Bomb! Ladies, Holler at this beefcake!
I wish everyday was a Friday
It is finally here. FRIDAY. I look forward to Fridays all week. Tomorow is my girlfriend's birthday. She is taking her close friends to Florentines. After we will go to Steamers. So I am meeting some of her friends for the first time..... Yikes! Last night I was late to bible study. Funny thing is, all the people there were hooked up! Just three weeks ago, Heavnzbrat was the only person in a relationship. But now Esther Chang and David Lee are dating each other, and I have Lisa. So last night the three of them and I were all kinda giglin about that. I think David Lee got hooked up just because of my action of putting him up for sale couple Fridays ago....... Right E Chang? Hahaha. So love was in the air last night. I wonder what the weather is like in East Coast right now. Geez. I hope it is not too cold..... last time I went to NY in spring, it was snowing... In April! Terrible I say! I don't know what I will be doing tonight. I've axed Al and Hoon to hang out and they kinda said yes. But we will see. I just want to relax and hang with my loved ones before my trip.

Da Big Apple and Illadeph, PA

So I will be off to Da Big Apple this Sunday..... Yeah it's another business trip. I will be at the on Demand show at the Javitz Center.... New York City. Hmm so it seems I've been busy travellin'. Gotta give it up to New York. As much as I love LA, and I tend to diss other cities, I can't knock NY. The place is just energetic and alive. Wouldn't want to live there, but it sure is fun.

I am going to a dealer in southern New Jersey but will be staying in Philli. Gonna hang with Jongmin. I love this kid. Jongmin and I are both 1.5 generation Korean Americans. I have such connections with other 1.5's. Yes all you other Koreans just don't know. can't wait to have philli cheesestake. Due to my diet, I will only have one.

Generation 1.5 Korean Americans!

We are the chameleon group of rare Koreans that speak both Korean and English as a native speaker. I say Chameleon cause we can blend into all three Cultures. Korean Culture, American Culture, and the Korean American culture. All very distinct in it's own flavor. Our intersts are wide and we have a unbeliveable capability to fit in to different crowds. Don't get me wrong, I am not saying we are all great. We all might have our preference of which culture that we fit into better. But the capabilities are there. Fact of the matter is that we were blessed to come to US either in Pre-Teens or Early teen to under stand enough about the Korean Culture and still have the learning capabilities learn this culture. Yeah Jongmin and I are part of that unique group that represent a smaller piece of the pie which consists huge pieces of either 2nd generation or 1st generation Koreans. I think it is cool cause not only do we have the benefit of both cultures but we can also sympathize with the pains of both. We 1.5's were fobs at one point so we can understand and sympathise with other fobs... We can also understand 2nd generation kid who try to disassociate themselves with fobs cause, lets just face it Fobs can be just straight up embarrasing. But since we can sympathise with both we have the abiblity to take the best from Both cultures. So if you are a 1.5, smile and be proud that you are part of a unique group of Korean Americans!
Some pictures from Korea...

An offer that you cannot refuse

When you see this picture, what words come to mind?

I would say,
The man sitting down smoking a cig is a mob boss from Korea back in the day. He is giving the other guy an offer that he cannot refuse....

Sue Liu from work says he looks like Korean Tony Soprano.

So tell me what do you think that man did for a living?

Well his name is Cho, Hee Won and he is my mother side grandfather. He helped organize and was the first union chairman for Korean Tobacco industry. He was always a ferocious man as far as I can remember. I saw him beat up 2 young men when he was in his 50's, when I was a wee lad. I was always scared of my grandfather. But since his stroke, he is half the man that he once was. All that strength and Charisma left him and now he is a soft spoken old man that lie around the house. How cruel life can be. I took this picture from Korea cause I thought that this picture was so cool.

Conversation with Mark Ekstrand (co-worker/sage)

Da Fevah : Thank you for taking care of one of my customers for me Mark.
Mark E. : So he is your customer... I hope he is happy. Well... he is never happy.
Da Fevah : But than again who is happy?
Mark E. : Ooohhh Good question.
Da Fevah : May be Dalai Lama?
Mark E. : (cringing his face) Ohh I don't think he is happy... he just doesn't know he is unhappy.

Interesting..... I met the Dalai Lama once. At Cal State Fullerton. He was a good speaker. I even shook his hand as he was walking by he looked at me and said something in some foriegn language and left. Dalai Lama might be the most significant person that I've met according to the world.... Hmmmm. I wonder if he is truly happy. Mark is one of the coolest guys in our company. You can read his interview here. I guess ignorance can be bliss. Well I must be ignorant cause right now I am pretty happy! So how the hell are ya? Are you happy?

See you later single life.....

I won't miss you too much. In fact I am glad that you are gone. Cause it's been too long since I hung around in your circle. Though you always greeted me with your wicked ways..... single life, I must part with you now. Yup. It is official. Singlehood of my life has haunted me too long. And I feel good that it has left my vicinities. So hello my new adventure! My market crashed. My stock was sold to a young lady and parkster7831 be thy screen name!!!!!!

Is she the one responsible for flipping my world inside out? Hmmmm.... stay tuned. Same bat channel. Same bat website......
What's up y'all?
I am back. I am tired cause I could not get much sleep last night. But the flight back was pretty cool. It was a 10 hour flight and I slept 8.5 of those 10 hours. But I still have jet lag.... Hee hee. Still I am giddy like a goofy kid. Why you ax? Why not. Was busy all morning. yesterday when I touched down here in da States, to my surprise, Al and Lisa came to pick me up. Haha what a surprise. I came home. Hoon greeted me. I wonder what went on at the apartment while I was gone. Hoon..... Nah I am sure nothing happened. Going back to yesterday, it was great. why you ax? why not. God can throw you curve balls most of your life. But sometimes He gives a staright fastball. You gotta get a hold of it and send it deep. Gotta go see Passions. I heard it was good. But I heard it was hard to watch...
