Flakes

Couple of things that I realized recently.... I don't like people who can't commit. This reminds me of the book, catch 22.

Yosarian the main character was talking with an Italian soldier was getting upset because of the nonchalant uncaring Italian soldier who took sides. In the beginning when the Nazis looked like they were gonna win, Italians were with them. Then just as the US enters and Nazis don't look that great of shape, they side with US.... Just plain gutless.

Yeah I think its lame when people don't know their roots. They just go with whatever is in.

Its called cancer. In any relationship, whether its friendships, or anything, if one is not committed, it dwindles away. I don't like flakes. If one gives his or her word, it should be taken seriously. Yeah, I know this is a hard to live up to(my expectations), but that is just the way it is.

It's like these clowns that go from church to church. Not as a servant but to be served.... They have all sorts of excused why. Some valid, and most not so valid. It's selfish. Like JFK once said, "Ask not what your country can do for you, but what you can do for your country." Right? But no. Its always me, me, me....

Well you wanna get served? Step on up to da plate with Da Fevah! Cause You'll get served!

There are times..... Pain surrounds me like a snake coiling around my body. So many of us are stuck in this painful world and relief is always temporary. Then along comes more pain and more pain. I know that we have extraordinary moments that wipe away the crappy things of our lives. But the pain always returns. It will continue to be painful till another temporary relief than more pain.

Thank God for Christ that take away my pain. Though it may be temporary, one day it will be permanent.

To all that feel like an under achiever, has been, never was..... Just remember. There is always hope. I am merely a baby. Its always about da finish. Good start helps. But da strong finish is what counts.

Soccer is a great sport... I just came back from lunch with Dong and Andy. I just saw Korea tie with Mali in soccer... It was great. Korea advanced to next round!

My father said this once...
"I would trade all the gold medals from useless sports like archery or skeet shooting, or some othert junk, just for one Gold medal in soccer!"

Its true... There are some stupid sports in the Olympics... Usually I have problem with any sports where there isn't a clear winner. Any so called "performing arts" sport. I am not saying that Gymnests aren't athletes, cause they are. But when its up to judges, like diving and synchronized swimming, that have no clear winner, and its up to the interepretation, I don't like it. How about shooting. How is gun shooting a sport?
Obesity....

Overwhelming amount of Americans are just fat. Me included.... I was reading an article while I was taking care business in my real office.... Da toilet. Yeah its an epidemic... One of the biggest surprise that never dawned on me till I read the article was that according to traveling Europeans rich people in America seemed to be okay whereas the poor people were fat. This can only lead to one thing... People who are poor get fat due to eating crappy food... And lack of exercise... One of the things that I realize is something that john (a guy from wed. Basketball) said.

"Losing weight.... If you look at it mathematically, is simple. Your body needs certain amount of calories and you exercise to burn off more than you ate."

I am on a diet as many of you know. Its not simple. It is so complicated... It takes determination and much much discipline... Even harder than losing weight is maintaining one's weight loss... Now that is the real test. I am not done with my diet. I still have long ways to go. Not to say that I haven't come a long way. But still I have much bumpy and difficult road ahead of me. I must get my iron will back.

I saw this pic from Hoon's grad day....

Must not look like this again....

Some people really are stubborn....

and some are just stupid.
It was a great weekend. Much needed R&R. Yeah, I am now back at the one and only AHT. Been watching da Olympics. I find myself rooting for US and Korea obviously. But neither countries have been doing too hot.... Yeah this was the first weekend where nothing was planned. Bling Bling cooked for us on Saturday and it was of da hook! Other than that, sat around and did nothing but watched Olympics.

So this guy was da first Gold Medal for Korea. Lee, won hee in Judo. Good for him!

look at his Fam.... His parents must be so proud...

I realize that Olympic Sports means so much to these amateur athletes.

So much more meaningful than so called NBA dream team that got rocked yesterday by Puerto Rico....

It was good to witness Korea beat Mexico in soccer...

I find myself obviously rooting against Japan...
yesterday the Japanese guy beat the American in 100 meter butterfly in swimming. That was fine. But when the Japanese guy started screaming out some God awful noise, I was upset.

I hope the American guy kicks his ass in the 200 meter breatstroke.

One of the more moving things that I saw was when Iraq's Olympic Team entry. About 20 of them getting cheers from the people... It was quite moving.

Than there was the entry of South & North Koreans with that weird flag.

I think I caught da Olympic Fevah...
