Da Fevah....

I need patience. I come from a line of family where people are not patient. I am so not seeing the results of my diet. But some people have told me that I have lost weight. Which is a good feeling. But I want to drop more. More more and more. Anyway, back to my family. I have not talked about my dad for a little while. He has been in Korea for a while now. He called me this morning at 5 AM kinda faded.
Dad : I just saw one of the best movie that I have ever seen.
Da Fevah : What movie was that?
Dad : Silmido. The best movie I've ever seen!
Da Fevah : Wow.
Dad : Don't you have to go to work?
This is when I noticed he was slurring
Da Fevah : Yes...
Dad : I am not coming back, EE Nome Ah(You bastard in Korean)....
Da Fevah : Why?
Dad : Cause I don't want to see you.
Da Fevah : How much did you drink?
Dad : Just a little with Byung Ho(My alchoholic uncle on my mother side)
Da Fevah : hahaha just a little with Byung Ho ee sam choon? No such thing!
Dad : Slurring Shut up and go to work!
He hung up.

I think my dad misses me. This is the way my dad tells me that he loves me. Haha. I was kinda glad to hear from him this morning.

I wanna see this movie Silmido. I'll bet it is pretty good.

It is about a Korean special force that was training to take out the North Korean dictator Kim Il Sung. It looks awesome.

But do most Korean parents have such a hard time showing affection towards their kids?
