I've been wearing my Dodgers gear lately. Why because they are in a playoff chase. But thing are not looking too good. I know that they have a chance. But their offense is struggling...
I am wearing this T-shirt today. The exact same one.
I blogged that I met Steve Sax the other day and got his autograph.
Here are some of my Least favorite Dodger moments
Signing Darryl Strawberry
Yikes what disappointment.... He was da bomb when he was a Met. But he comes to Da Dodgers.... I still remember the playoffs when he struck out almost everytime he was at bat. Loser!
Eric Davis
He was a terror with the Reds. Yeah he had a sweet swing. What happened to E Davis's swing? He lost it when he came to da Dodgers.... Yikes. I remember when Eric Davis spit at a fan for criticising him. The fan was a 12 year old boy.
Here they are... 2 losers
They were supposed to take the Dodgers back to the promise land. But nope.
Chan Ho Era
When Chan Ho was rookie, it was like a dream come true. I've always been a Dodger fan. And a Korean playing for the Dodgers!!!!! What a let down. He showed signs of brilliance. But left!!!! His career now? hmmmm. I even had a Chan-Ho shirt.
Here is some things that happened.
Encounter with Chan Ho
My friends and I were drinking at Bluenote in GG when Chan ho was a rookie. We ordered Dak Dori Tang. As we were waiting Chan ho walked in to BluNote! He and his friends order the same thing. We were waiting for 20 minutes. We saw the Dak Dori Tang coming our way and than it went to Chan Ho's table. We got punked!
Chan Ho scissors kicking Tim Belcher(ex-Dodger)
I remember when this happened, it was a big deal. my favorite was when O.C. Register wrote Park delivers a "Martial Arts" Kick. Anyone else would have been just a kick. But the Korean man delivers a Martial Arts kick.
One the worst was when Koreans started to come to Dodger games to support the old Chan Ho. They were cooking Ramyun, Ohjing-Uh, sneaking in Soju... that was all ok with me. But some Korean Fob fans made a HUGE sign that said "Lets Go DoGGers!". Not Dodgers. Doggers...... What a shame to our people.
How about all the talent that Dodgers gave out to other teams.....
Pedro Martinez, Henry Rodriguez, Dave steward... To name a few.
Greatest Baseball Memory of my life!
88 world series. Dodgers made to the World series riding Orel Hershiser all season long. He was a bulldog. Game 1, Da Fevah went to Da Game. Yeah My dad's friend got tickets and That was the only time that I ever went to a baseball game with my dad. I still remember Kirk Gibson hobbling to the plate. Mike Davis walked and If Gibson hit a home run, we win the first game of the World series! Against at the time the most dominant closer, Dennis Eckersly. And what a prick D Eck was.
Next came the greatest Home Run in History! We went nuts. Riding that momentum Dodgers won the Worlds Series.
I compare my life right now to Da Dodgers. Just under achieving. Still I am a Dodger Blue! And Da Dodger's day will come. And so will mine!
