It was a sermon at Promise Keepers event in 95' by Tony Evans!
I've heard this before and it was good to hear it again. Very passionate and very entertaining. The man was on fire! Something about black preachers..... After series of encouraging challenges about being the "salt and light of the world" he told a little story about his favorite Super Hero... Superman! How he is Clark Kent and seems like a regular man yet he goes into the telephone booth and.... Watch out now! He takes off his glasses puts on his blue and red jumpsuit and he is faster than the speeding bullet... Look up in the sky! Its a bird... Nah... It's a plane... Nope. Its Superman!
than he went off to say that we can't be a secret agent Christian, but as Christians need to put on our blue and red jumpsuit on for da Lord with a BIG S on our Chest. It does not mean that we are Super but it does mean we are Saved! It does not mean that we are Super, but it does mean that we are Sanctified!
And it is time to FLY for Da Lord!
in the background noise Christian men were going buck wild... For all you heathens that do not know what Promise Keeper is... It is a ministry for Christian men. And teh audience was charged up and ready to take over!
I admit, even I was charged up....
